Your tour starts in Windhoek and takes you first to a private game reserve and then on to Namibia’s well known Etosha National Park. A large variety of animals can be viewed especially at the numerous water holes. Continue north through the wonderful Zambezi region (Caprivi) with its lush wilderness of riverine forest and flood plains. Journey on to Botswana’s famous Chobe National Park for more excellent game viewing. An exciting fly-in safari takes you into the beautiful Okavango Delta with is swamps, an absolute highlight of southern Africa! End your tour visiting the spectacular and famous Victoria Fall, recognized as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
Arrival at the Hosea Kutako International Airport, which is situated approximately 40 km from Windhoek. Collect your rented vehicle and drive to your accommodation in Windhoek.
On request we gladly meet you personally at the hotel to discuss your tour and any questions you might have. Spend some time sightseeing in Windhoek. In the evening you can have dinner in one of the recommended restaurants and enjoy typical Namibian dishes.
Today your journey takes you to the Erindi Game Reserve, situated in typical African bush landscape. Erindi is a private game reserve where wildlife can be experienced at its best, including rare and endangered species such as white and black rhino. During the afternoon you can go on a guided game drive to see a large variety of game.
The Etosha National Park awaits you! Established in 1907, it is one of the oldest and largest conservation areas in Africa. Whatever the time of year, Etosha never fails to fascinate. The large variety of birds provide opportunities for bird watching at waterholes. A closer look at the trees and shrubs of Etosha helps to add interest to game viewing and to understand animals’ habits. Waterholes along the edge of the pan guarantee rewarding and often spectacular game viewing. During the night you can spend some time viewing game at a floodlit waterhole. Sometimes elephant and rhino are amongst the nocturnal visitors to this waterhole.
Drive via Tsumeb and Grootfontein in a northern direction past traditional villages of the Kavango people to Rundu, where you overnight on the banks of the Okavango River.
From Rundu you continue to the Mahangu Game Reserve, being part of the larger Bwabwata National Park. Rich in fauna and flora the reserve offers a lot of game such as sable and roan antelope, elephant, hippos, buffalos and many other antelope. For bird watchers the park offers more than 420 different bird species. You can also visit the nearby Popa Rapids. Here the Okavango River passes the last rapids before it enters Botswana and the Okavango Delta.
Continue via Katima Mulilo and the border post Ngoma to Kasane in Botswana. Here you return your rented vehicle to the car rental company. Participate in the offered activities and spend time in the Chobe National Park. There is a wealth of outdoor activities on offer to suit your interests. On the first afternoon we recommend a boat cruise. Game viewing by boat with first class guides. For the next day, a guided game drive can be recommended. Game viewing in the Chobe National Park – lion, elephant, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, giraffe, and numerous antelope species can be seen.
Transfer to the Kasane Airport. Flight by small aircraft into the Okavango Delta to your camp situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta, overlooking the legendary Chiefs Island and bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The Okavango Delta is an enigma, a contradiction of 16 000 square kilometers of crystal-clear channels, serene lagoons and a myriad of islands that support a wealth of fauna and flora alike. Mokoro trips in canoes, combined with walking to surrounding lagoons and islands give guests the chance to experience a classic Delta safari. Motorized boat excursions are also offered to further explore the Delta. The Okavango is a vast river that never meet the sea. Instead, its clear waters spread across the Kalahari Desert, forming Africa’s largest wetland. Relax under the lush vegetation and you will begin to realize the privilege and quiet excitement of being in one of those places that makes memories.
During the morning flight by small aircraft back to Kasane. From here road transfer via the border post Kasungula to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Visit the famous Victoria Falls, the “smoke that thunders”. The Zambian side of the Victoria Falls is worth a visit during the high-water period from December to June, when it provides a different view of the Falls in full flood. A wide choice of activities is available in Victoria Fall. Sunset Cruises on the mighty Zambezi River, Flights over the Falls by helicopter, Game drives into the Zambezi National Park, White Water Rafting and Bungee Jumping to name a view. We recommend having dinner at the Boma, an African theme restaurant which offers excellent cuisine and traditional dances.
Spend the morning in Victoria Falls shopping and sightseeing.
Transfer to the Victoria Falls Airport.
