During the morning you will be picked up at your accommodation in Windhoek and transfer to Eros Airport in Windhoek. Check-in and then flight in a Cessna 210 aircraft from Windhoek to the Mokuti airstrip, which is situated just outside the Etosha National Park. From here a short transfer to your exclusive accommodation, where you will spend the next two nights. Upon arrival at the lodge you can relax and enjoy lunch if you like. In the afternoon at 3 p.m. you go on your first guided game drive in the Etosha National Park. Waterholes along the edge of the pan guarantee rewarding and often spectacular game viewing. You will be back at your accommodation before sunset, where you enjoy a tasty dinner.
(Flight time 1 hour 45 minutes)
At 7:00 you go on a guided game drive into the Etosha National Park. With a bit of luck, you might see nocturnal animals like lions, leopards and cheetahs or hyenas and jackals roaming the bush in the early morning. Enjoy the experience of observing the diverse wildlife in the great outdoors. You will be back at the lodge around 11 am. Here you can relax and unwind over the midday hours. The animals actually feel the same – in the midday heat they prefer to take a nap under a shady bush, which is why the best times for game drives are early mornings and late afternoons. In the afternoon at 3 p.m. you will go on another game drive. No game drive is the same! You will be surprised again and again which animal comes next to the waterhole. Many game species that are typical of the African savannah can be found here in large numbers, including elephant, zebra, giraffe, blue wildebeest, oryx, springbok, kudu and the unique black-faced impala. Hundreds of bird species have been documented, which are complemented by migratory birds in the summer months. At sunset you leave the park and accommodation as previous day.
At 07:00 a last guided game drive in the park with wildlife sightings. The exciting thing is that you do not know which “wild” encounters you will have. The only thing that is certain is that it will be varied and exciting! The park’s vegetation is diverse, and each waterhole tells a different story. You will be back at the lodge at 11am. Here you can relax a bit and enjoy lunch.
Transfer back to the airstrip in the early afternoon. From here flight in a Cessna 210 aircraft back to Eros Airport in Windhoek.
